SEASON FIVE
E1 - Apocalypse Rising (part 2 of 2)
A runabout with Sisko and Dax aboard is attacked by a Klingon warship while en route to Deep Space Nine. With tensions between the Federation and the Klingons increasing, Sisko is ordered to infiltrate the heart of the Klingon Empire and to discover whether Chancellor Gowron is a Changeling. Sisko asks Gul Dukat for his help in transporting him, Worf, Odo and O`Brien to the Klingon homeworld where they embark on a mission from which they may never return.
E2 - The Ship
While conducting a mineral survey of a uncharted planet, Sisko and his crew witness the crash landing of a Jem`Hadar warship. The pear before Sisko can transport the ship back to DS9. Trapped in the ship, the Starfleet officers must protect themselves against an attack by the Jem`Hadar while trying to locate what the alien are so desperately seeking.
E3 - Looking for par`Mach in All The Wrong Places
Quark`s ex-wife, the Klingon Grilka, pays an unexpected visit to Deep Space Nine. It seems that the Ferengi is still smitten with the woman and wants her back at all costs. He enlists the help of Worf and Dax to tutor him in the ways of Klingon mating in the hopes of winning back her heart and house.
E4 - ... Nor the Battle to the Strong
Writing a profile on Doctor Bashir, Jake Sisko is travelling with him aboard a runabout when they receive a call from a Federation colony that is under attack by the Klingons. Sensing a more exciting story, Jake convinces Bashir that they must help the colonists. Jake and Bashir are caught in crossfire while trying to retrieve a portable generator from their ship. The young man panics and abandons Bashir in an attempt to save himself.
E5 - The Assignment
Chief O`Brien nervously awaits Keiko`s arrival back from Bajor. After welcoming his wife to the station. O`Brien finds that Keiko`s body has been taken over by the spirit of an exiled Bajoran prophet. Unless he does everything that is asked of him, the entity will kill Keiko.
E6 - Trials and Tribble-ations
Sisko and the crew of the defiant are transported back through Time when a genetically-altered Klingon, Arne Darvin, tries to steal one of the ancient Bajorna orbs. They find themselves orbiting Space Station K-7 along with the original Enterprise. The ship has been summoned by the station`s manager to help protect a vital shipment of quadrotriticale from a possible Klingon attack. Odo and Worf beam over to the station to search for darvin while Sisko, Dax, Doctor Bashir and O`Brien take a trip to the Enterprise and meet up with the legendary Captain James T Kirk.
E7 - Let He Who is Without Sin
Worf and Dax visit the pleasure planet Risa for a vacation, taking Bashir, Quark and Leeta with them. Worf is approached by the leader of a traditionalist group bent on stamping out all that the planet has to offer. The Klingon pays a visit to the group`s leader Fullerton to find out more about his organisation. When he begins to feel that Dax and the others are having too much fun, Worf joins forces with Fullerton to put a damper on things.
E8 - Things Past
A runabout with Sisko, Dax, Odo and Garak aboard encounters a plasma storm. A discharge from the storm renders everyone on the ship unconscious and they awake on DS9 seven years in the past, when it was under Cardassian occupation. Before they can find a way off DS9, Dax is recruited by Gul Dukat to be his aide, while Sisko, Odo and Garak are accused of trying to kill the Cardassian and sentenced to death. Odo reveals these events are part of his past. He must either come to terms with a long buried secret or watch as his friends die.
E9 - The Ascent
Rom prepares to welcome Nog back to the station, where the Starfleet cadet is to take part in a field study programme. The preparations are interrupted when Odo arrives to take Quark into custody because of his suspected links with the Orion Syndicate. As Odo escorts his charge to a federation Grand Jury hearing, their runabout is sabotaged and they rash land on a deserted planet. They must now depend on each other if they are to survive long enough to get a signal back to DS9 and be rescued.
E10 - Rapture
Sisko is inspired to search for Bajor`s legendary lost city of B`Hala when he sees a Bajoran icon, According to legend, the painting depicts part of an obelisk showing the exact location of the city. Sisko replicates the obelisk in a Holosuite, but when he begins to piece together the information missing on the structure, the system shorts out and renders him unconscious. He awakes with a heightened sense of awareness and the ability to see events from Bajor`s past and future. These visions lead Sisko to B`hala, but the discovery casts a shadow of doubt over Bajor`s upcoming admission to the Federation as well as threatening to kill the Emissary himself.
E11 - The Darkness and the Light
Kira receives a message announcing the death of a former member of the resistance. One by one each of the members of the Shakaar resistance cell are murdered and the major himself is injured. Kira surreptitiously removes a list of possible suspects from odo`s security computer and goes to Bajor to hunt down the person she believes is responsible for the killings.
E12 - The Begotten
Quark offers to sell Odo an ailing infant Changeling. Odo tries to communicate to his new `child` that it can transform. Dr Mora, the bajoran scientist who raised Odo, arrives. Odo and Mora argue about the best way to coax the creature into changing. Eventually they settle their differences and they are rewarded when the Changeling begins to morph. Meanwhile, Miles and Keiko practice traditional Bajoran relaxation technique to help induce Kira into giving birth.
E13 - Fir the Uniform
Sisko goes undercover, hoping to find former Starfleet Head of Security Michael Eddington, but Eddington ambushes him, Sisko orders the Defiant to pursue Eddington`s ship but, as the Defiant closes in, the ship`s computers go off-line - Eddington left a virus in the core. Back on DS9, Starfleet orders Sisko to relinquish command of the mission to capture Eddington. Sisko finds himself back in the fight, however, after the Maquis poison the atmosphere of a Cardassian colony planet.
E14 - In Purgatory`s Shadow
When DS9 receives a coded Cardassian message from the Gamma Quadrant, Sisko asks Garak to decode it. The tailor dismisses the message, but then tries to steal a runabout. Garak tells Sisko that the message was in fact from his old mentor Enabran Tain. Sisko sends Worf and Garak through the wormhole, but they are captured by the Jem`Hadar and taken to an internment camp. There they find Tain, General Martok, and another member of the DS9 crew. When Sisko sends Kira to search for Work and Garak, the major discovers the Dominion are preparing to attack. Sisko hopes to stop the Dominion by sealing the wormhole but this will sentence Worf and Garak to certain death.
E15 - By Inferno`s Light
Sisko`s plan to close the wormhole fails, but the Dominion fleet does not attack. It travels away from the station, followed by Dukat`s Bird of prey. Dukat reveals he has been negotiating with the Dominion to join them in their battle to take over their part of the galaxy. Meanwhile, in the Dominion internment camp all Cardassian prisoners, except for Garak, are released. The DS9 prisoners discover the hidden transmitter used to send a distress call to the station. Worf is taken away to be used in training exercises with the Jem`Hadar. It is up to Garak to modify the device. On DS9, the Romulans offer to help the Klingons and Starfleet fight the Dominion.
E16 - Dr Bashir, I Presume
Holographic researcher Dr Zimmerman, announces that Bashir has been chosen to serve as the template for the new Long Term Medical Holographic image of Bashir, and compiles a list of people to interview in order to recreate Bashir`s personality. Two of these are Bashir`s parents, Richard and Amsha. However, Bashir has a secret he fears will be exposed. Richard and his wife go to sickbay to tell their son that his secret is safe. Unfortunately, the couple do not realize they are speaking to a holographic projection and that they have just revealed his secret to Zimmerman.
E17 - A Simple Investigation
Odo is smittem with the beautiful Arissa, but she is arrested for trying to break into DS9`s computer. Arissa explains that she was trying to see if an Idanian, Talbot, had arrived. In Talbot`s quarters they find a phaser burn. Arissa admits she works for Draim, a member of the Orion Syndicate. She was to meet Talbot because he supposedly had information that would help her end her association with the Syndicate. Odo promises to protect Arissa from whoever killed Talbot. Unfortunately, Arissa is hiding something else from Odo that not only threatens their relationship but may also cost the woman her life.
E18 - Business as Usual
Quark has lost all his money. Almost immediately his cousin Gaila arrives on DS9. He tells Quark that he should use one of his Holosuites to demonstrate and sell weapons. One of Gaila`a associates, Hagath hires Quark and profits begin to rise. Quark`s success at selling weapons has an impact on the bar, as his Federation customers shun him. Quark becomes disenchanted when the Regent of Palamar contacts Hagath to buy weapons. Quark must choose between profit and the lives of 28 million people.
E19 - Ties of Blood and Water
Kira prepares for the arrival of Cardassian dissident Tekeny Ghemor. Kira hopes he will lead opposition to the Cardassian/Dominion Alliance, but he is dying. However, he may be able to help with a Cardassian ritual where the dying reveal secrets to their family to use against their enemies. As he has no living relatives, he asks Kira if she will take part, Kira grants his request. Meanwhile, Gul Dukat arrives in a Jem`Hadar ship. He tries to persuade Ghemor to return to Cardassia. When he refuses, Dukat tries to turn Kira against Ghemor by revealing secrets from the past.
E20 - Ferengi Love Songs
Quark visits his mother Moogie. He finds the Grand Nagus hiding in the closet. His mother tells Quark that she and the Nagus are in love. Quark sees the chance to get his trading licence back. When the Nagus refuses, Quark strikes a deal with Brunt of the Ferengi Commerce Authority, agreeing to sabotage the relationship in exchange for a new licence. However, the Nagus has become forgetful and Moogie has been helping him run the planet. With the real power behind the throne out of the way, Brunt plans to become Grand Nagus.
E21 - Soldiers of the Empire
The Klingon High Council orders General Martok to search for survivors of a Klingon vessel in Cardassian Space. Worf and Dax join his crew. Worf doubts Martok`s readiness to go into battle. He becomes more unsure of the General`s true intentions after Martok refuses to fight a Jem`Hadar ship. Tensions on the ship begin to rise and the crew decides to mutiny. It is up to Worf to intercede and challenge the General`s authority or risk his friend being killed.
E22 - Children of Time
While investigating a planet surrounded by an unusual quantum barrier, the defiant is crippled and Kira`s neutral pathways are drastically altered. Sisko and his officers beam down to the planet and find that its leader, Miranda O`Brien, is a descendent of Chief O`Brien. She tells Sisko the Defiant crashed on Gaia 200 years ago. Marooned, the survivors made a home for themselves. Sisko is prepared to take his ship back through the barrier. In doing so, however, history will be altered and the colony will cease to exist.
E23 - Blaze of Glory
Martok delivers a Maquis transmission to Sisko. It seems that marquis terrorists have launched a series of missiles at Cardassia. A retaliatory strike by the Jem`Hadar seems inevitable unless the missiles can be stopped. Sisko persuades Eddington to take him to the missile launch site. Upon arriving, the two discover things that neither of them expected.
E24 - Empok Nor
O`Brien leads a team of engineers on a mission to an abandoned Cardassian station. On the station, Garak and Engineer Boq`ta discover three statis tubes. Two of the tubes have been activated, releasing two Cardassian soldiers who murder two of O`Brien`s team. Garak kills one of the soldiers. The tailor analyses the dead man`s DNA and finds a chemical compound in his blood that amplifies the xenophobic tendencies of his race. Unknown to Garak, he has been infected with this same compound.
E25 - In the Cards
DS9 is gripped in a depression as the threat of a Dominion invasion hangs over the station. Even Sisko is finding it hard to put on a brave face. His mood becomes even darker when Kai`Winn tells the captain that the Dominion has asked to meet with her to discuss an alliance. In an attempt to cheer up his father, Jake enlists Nog`s help ion buying a baseball card that Quark is planning to auction off. They are outbid by a Dr Elias Geiger, who agrees to exchange the card for items he needs to complete a secret experiment.
E26 - A Call to Arms
The threat of a Dominion invasion draws
nearer. The Dominion`s representative Weyoun arrives on DS9 and
attempts to negotiate with Sisko for its peaceful return. Sisko has
no intentions of surrendering and comes up with a defensive strategy
to Dukat`s plans. While Dax and O`Brien use the Defiant to set a
trap. Sisko orders all but key personnel off the station. When Gul
Dukat and his allies attack they are met by an impressive show of
strength. Although the Cardassian believes he has won the battle, he
does not know for certain if he will win the war.
